Summary

Tanjiro sets out on the path of the Demon Slayer to save his sister and avenge his family！

In Taisho-era Japan， Tanjiro Kamado is a kindhearted boy who makes a living selling charcoal。 But his peaceful life is shattered when a demon slaughters his entire family。 His little sister Nezuko is the only survivor， but she has been transformed into a demon herself！ Tanjiro sets out on a dangerous journey to find a way to return his sister to normal and destroy the demon who ruined his life。

The members of the Demon Slayer Corps are sworn to destroy demons wherever they find them—but the condition of Tanjiro’s sister， Nezuko， is a problem。 What will the Hashira—the leaders of the Demon Slayer Corps—do about Tanjiro protecting his own demonic sister？ Meanwhile， Kibutsuji assembles his own minions and intensifies his search for Tanjiro…

If the volume 5 was good。 This was AMAZING。 I loved meeting all of the nine Hashira！！ My favorites so far are Tomioka and Shinobu！ Seeing Tanjiro getting better， and better is inspiring。 By the other hand， learning more about the twelve Kizuki is very interesting， I'm a little sad for some of them， they probably were Kids like Rui If the volume 5 was good。 This was AMAZING。 I loved meeting all of the nine Hashira！！ My favorites so far are Tomioka and Shinobu！ Seeing Tanjiro getting better， and better is inspiring。 By the other hand， learning more about the twelve Kizuki is very interesting， I'm a little sad for some of them， they probably were Kids like Rui 。。。more

The Hashira， the higher ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps， have arrived to heal our wounded characters。 But also judge them for harbouring a demon like Nezuko！ This volume serves as a small training arc of sorts for Tanjiro， and the others， to grow stronger so that next time they might actually have a chance against the villains on their own。 It's fun！ Much lighter in theme， since they're not really fighting for their lives this time， and all the new characters （the Hashira and their stud The Hashira， the higher ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps， have arrived to heal our wounded characters。 But also judge them for harbouring a demon like Nezuko！ This volume serves as a small training arc of sorts for Tanjiro， and the others， to grow stronger so that next time they might actually have a chance against the villains on their own。 It's fun！ Much lighter in theme， since they're not really fighting for their lives this time， and all the new characters （the Hashira and their students/helpers） look interesting。 I'm appreciating the comedy of this more than most of the drama or action， but overall it's a very good series。 I wish this 'training' arc went on longer and we got to spend more time fleshing out how everything works but I'm happy we got it。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 THE HASHIRAS！！ Holy hell， they are all so cool and interesting！ I hope they appear in the story more in depth and we get to see each of their personalities and breathing styles！There was a panel where Nezuko was in her box looking understandably pissed at Shinazugawa， and it was so cute。 I'm so happy that the Master is allowing Tanjiro and Nezuko to prove themselves！！The groups recovery bit was so entertaining， I'm glad that they seem like a true squad now。Muzan terrifies me， that's all。 THE HASHIRAS！！ Holy hell， they are all so cool and interesting！ I hope they appear in the story more in depth and we get to see each of their personalities and breathing styles！There was a panel where Nezuko was in her box looking understandably pissed at Shinazugawa， and it was so cute。 I'm so happy that the Master is allowing Tanjiro and Nezuko to prove themselves！！The groups recovery bit was so entertaining， I'm glad that they seem like a true squad now。Muzan terrifies me， that's all。 。。。more

A change of pace is very good for the conclusion of this arc， this moment of the training and recovering their stamina。 We are introduced to this new stage， which is to keep our breathing concentrated all the time， besides the expansion of the understanding of this universe with the appearance of the Hashiras， everything up to this point has been kept very light， fast， and funny， the dynamic of the characters is very good too。I point out that a few moments ago when Tanjiro almost rips Rui's head A change of pace is very good for the conclusion of this arc， this moment of the training and recovering their stamina。 We are introduced to this new stage， which is to keep our breathing concentrated all the time， besides the expansion of the understanding of this universe with the appearance of the Hashiras， everything up to this point has been kept very light， fast， and funny， the dynamic of the characters is very good too。I point out that a few moments ago when Tanjiro almost rips Rui's head off， there are some very expository balloons about what just happened （that thing there with Nezuko's blood and Rui's lines）。 This reminds me of the anime， which long before this arc started， already had these expository dialogues of Tanjiro explaining what is happening， even though it is completely obvious and visible what happened。 This is a bit annoying， but it was just a mild slip， and not very cohesive with the pace at which everything is happening。 I am a little afraid that they will end up falling into this expository dialog: so much so that in the final chapter， and not long after， she didactically explains how the twelve moons work。 They could very well just show this in the story， it's not so hard to believe the reader's minimum of ability。 Anyway， the ending already left me longing for more。------------Overall review from volume 1 to 6------------2 starsI decided to talk only about what I liked about the manga so far because I wanted to compile all the issues in a more general way since it works better。The manga itself is well below average， it has nothing interesting。 The anime， which attracted me to it， manages to stay more concise than the manga: it goes slower and the animations are beautiful。 The manga proceeds too fast， initially I found it interesting， but sometimes it doesn't keep up very well， excluding many moments of catharsis that we should get involved with the characters。I'll take it easy， the beginning the family appears only to be killed， there is nothing really engaging about it。 And that's okay， I didn't think it was bad at all， I liked it a little bit。 The problem and this is my point， is Nezuko， she's just an object， she's the reason everything happens and yet she doesn't matter at all。 The relationship between her and Tanjiro is very superficial because the story doesn't allow us to go deeper into it， she is more like Tanjiro's cuddly dog， the cute and pretty loli for everyone to like。 When you don't need her， she disappears， simple。What matters is only the trio， Tanjiro， Inosuke， and Zenitsu。 And there's another problem， the characters are too superficial。 What I like most about the manga is that it manages to be fast and dynamic， everything that a good manga usually has。 The characters have some initial stereotypes， Tanjiro is kind， Inosuke is proud， and Zenitsu is fearful， but unlike very good works， like One Piece， the characters don't go much beyond this。 The story always rushes too much， a whole arc in which there should be a deepening of the characters and an explanation of their friendship is ignored。 They meet in a house and by the end of this arc， they are friends。 Even with the Hashiras， this happens， all are shown with some characteristics and nothing beyond that。The narrative is very fast and rushed， an example of this is in the Mountain of Spiders arc。 The whole arc is rushed and ends very quickly， in a few pages Tanjiro is already fighting with Rui。 And already having another problem， this whole arc， which is much better handled in the anime， the moment of catharsis， when he executes that fire attack， is thematically， and visually， disappointing。 This whole arc， and this whole relationship between Tanjiro and Nezuko， that they are the right kind of family concerning to Rui's family， it doesn't matter because Nezuko doesn't matter or because Tanjiro， and any other character， aren't deepened properly， is not believable at all。Besides that everything seems to happen haphazardly， Tamayo is introduced as this ally against Muzam， Muzam himself is already introduced in the second chapter， everything is rushed and muddled。 The characters are introduced， also， in a very weak way。Overall， my note would be: watch the anime and forget the manga。 It's passable， however much I enjoyed it a bit。 。。。more

Getting more into the world of the demon slayer corps。 Getting to see the headquarters and everyone asking not why is Nezuko so cute but why does she have to be so different from other demons。 Seems the Hashira are less than thrilled and she lives on for another day。 Also to see the three boys are able to recoup and recover。 Wonder what their next adventures will ensure。

I was just waiting for the Hashira to be introduced and they didn't disappoint。 The panels of them were immaculate。 Wasn't as much about Kanao in this volume which I was expecting but maybe it's in the next one。 This volume is in my opinion the typical bridge volume for the next arc/fight to occur so it was good but not the most exciting。 But we do love to see Shinobu on the front cover！ I was just waiting for the Hashira to be introduced and they didn't disappoint。 The panels of them were immaculate。 Wasn't as much about Kanao in this volume which I was expecting but maybe it's in the next one。 This volume is in my opinion the typical bridge volume for the next arc/fight to occur so it was good but not the most exciting。 But we do love to see Shinobu on the front cover！ 。。。more
